Hillingdon

Association

It would be very difficult to ensure a rich mix of entertaining and inspiring performances with their associated costs for rehearsals, costumes, sheet music, theatre hire etc., without financial support. Visual arts groups also benefit from financial help in hiring venues, publicity, tutors etc. All arts organisations that are eligible can apply for grants from London Borough of Hillingdon
HAA stages and contributes towards other cultural ventures including in public art, the casting and erection of ‘Anticipation’ the sculpture in front of Uxbridge tube station that was unveiled by HM the Queen.
Any arts organisation that is open to the public and is not primarily concerned with financial profit can become a member of the Association, individuals can also join. Organisations, schools, agencies who have an interest in supporting the arts for their members or clients can become associate members. You can apply for membership below. For additional information about HAA please contact the Secretary.
HAA was founded in the 1960's to assist financially and help organise voluntary arts groups in the then newly formed London Borough of Hillingdon. Ever since HAA has championed the cause of performing, musical, visual and literary arts and crafts. HAA is formed of the societies whose volunteers dedicate their time and energy in producing arts for the enjoyment and participation of the different communities in Hillingdon. HAA is a registered charity.
VOLUNTEERING HAA is always in need of help to run its various services to the Voluntary Arts Sector in Hillingdon. If you feel you would like to help in any way please send an email to: the Secretary or go to the contact page. If you can spare just an hour or two a month, then there are things that you can do in making the arts accessible to people in all parts of Hillingdon.
